Tributes to the Akira bike
Since the publication of the manga and, above all, with the release of the anime film, Kaneda's famous motorcycle in Akira has been honored on numerous occasions. From appearances in movies and video games to bicycle versions, many fans have chosen to reflect this iconic vehicle in their creations.
Dosnoventa Neo Tokyo "Kaneda" bicycle
Creative direction & design of Dosnoventa Bikes Neo Tokyo "Kaneda" model, a special edition inspired in Akira's iconoc motorbike, taking the name of its main character. Built in matt red carbon base, with raw carbon details and lettering. They manufactured a limited edition of only 10 units.
In their own words: "“The Dosnoventa Neo-Tokyo Kaneda edition is our tribute bike to praise Akira. An exclusive edition, different from the rest, and very limited, just 10 units in the whole world”.
Besides, Dosnoventa's Akira bicycle was presented by a special video showing the features of this unique bicycle. The shortfilm was directed by Sebas Romero.

Quick M2Z-01 Akira Scooter
The motorcycles manufacturer Quick made a stylish scooter tribute to Kaneda's bike, in stunning black and red colors. The name M2Z-01 (Matsuzoe No. 1) refers to the shop owner and engineer.
The M2Z-01 is built over an Honda Lead 90 base. Ir mounts a HF05E single-cylinder engine, two-stroke engine cooled. Its original chassis and fully enclosed aerodynamic body make it super long and low. The windshield also has a special design. The bike total length is 2250 mm.Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X on Cyberpunk 2077
The acclaimed video game Cyberpunk 2077 was developed by CD Projekt Red in 2020, and soon became a cult game. The fictional metropolis of Night City holds many secrets and treasures for the most advanced players, including the legendary motorcycle Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X, a model clearly inspired by the Kaneda's bike design. The inspiration of the cyberpunk world in Akira's aesthetics is well known, and this fictional motorcycle is yet another example of that influence.
The CT-3X is one of the most expensive and difficult motorcycles to obtain in the video game. By the way, the vehicle is named "Kusanagi" in reference to the main character of Ghost in the Shell, Commander Motoko Kusanagi.
